When it was time to sell the 100-acre Zacara Farm equestrian facility in Wellington, attorney John Metzger stepped in to help.

Metzger, a managing member with McDonald Hopkins in West Palm Beach, had history with the property.

He worked with the seller, Zacara Farm LLC, a company linked to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services broker Phyllis Noble, to amass the acreage after the recession. Metzger said the property was originally part of a 640-acre project called Wellington Preserve, which suffered a financial blow during the recession. He helped Zacara break the land away from the larger development and paved the way for redevelopment.
