Contini, Sullivan named co-chairs at McDonald Hopkins

CLEVELAND (October 2, 2017) – McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm, has named Christal Contini and Elizabeth Sullivan as practice group co-chairs, effective October 1, 2017.

Christal Contini becomes the co-chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group, a team of attorneys that help businesses with the merger and acquisition process from crafting the transaction, conducting due diligence, securing financing, negotiating terms and documenting the results.

She represents private businesses, business owners, management teams and private equity funds in various types of transactions, including complex mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, leveraged buyouts, distressed acquisitions and dispositions. Contini also provides general corporate counseling on day to day legal matters such as corporate governance, commercial contracts, compliance and operational issues.

Contini earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2008 and served as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Health. She received a B.A., cum laude, from Ashland University in 2003.

Elizabeth Sullivan becomes the co-chair of the Healthcare Practice Group, a team of attorneys that provide legal services to individuals and entities in the healthcare industry throughout the U.S.

During her career, Sullivan has assisted health care providers, including clinical laboratories, hospitals, physician specialty groups, telehealth providers, transplant centers, and surgery centers, healthcare associations, pharmacies and other healthcare providers on a variety of regulatory, licensing and accreditation, compliance, reimbursement, contractual and corporate and transactional matters. She served as associate counsel for The Cleveland Clinic Foundation for four years providing regulatory advice and transactional guidance to various service lines, including the clinical laboratory, professional pathology, imaging, transplant, and remote and distance health teams. 
  
Sullivan earned a J.D. and Certificate of Advanced Studies in Health Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, an M.A. in Bioethics and a B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University.
