Rosen featured in Cleveland Jewish News: Can businesses mandate vaccines for employees?

Miriam Rosen offered insight into the question of whether businesses can mandate vaccines for employees in an August 11 article by Alex Krutchik in the Cleveland Jewish News.

Rosen, who is co-chair of McDonald Hopkins Labor and Employment Practice Group and a member on the firm's Board of Directors, discusses the desire employers have for wanting everyone who works for them to be vaccinated, and while they may not be mandating it, "they are strongly encouaging it."

"And if you’re an employee who travels, they may not be authorized to travel if they are not vaccinated," Rosen continued “For some employees, that could be a problem if they can’t go see a customer or a client. That’s something else that employers are doing other than incentives, they might be limiting things that the employees can do. In some types of businesses, employers are saying you can’t come to the office If you’re not vaccinated.”
