McDonald Hopkins welcomes Brian R.E. Simmons to Business Department

CLEVELAND — Brian R.E. Simmons has joined McDonald Hopkins LLC in Cleveland as an Associate in the Business Department, adding his experience to the firm’s Real Estate, Public Law, and Finance teams. 

Simmons has experience advising clients on a wide variety of matters, including the acquisition, sale, financing, and development of high value commercial real estate properties, specifically apartment complexes. He oversees real estate acquisitions and dispositions from start to finish and has also represented clients in the financing of multifamily and senior housing facilities under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development insured funding programs. Simmons is adept at resolving legal issues pertaining to property disputes, preparing and negotiating contracts, and assessing financial transactions.

Simmons earned his JD, cum laude, from University of Akron School of Law. He earned his MBA from Roosevelt University and his Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University.
